Hailey’s wishes everyone a great Labor Day Weekend – we will be closed all day on Sunday, September 5th and during the day on Monday, September 6th. We will re-open for Dinner on Monday, September 6th at 4 PM.
The Tony Vardaro Farewell to Metuchen Tour – 9/6
Tony Vardaro has been a member of the central Jersey music scene since his first band’s debut performance in 1982. He has run the gamut of bands over the past 28 years but has finally found his niche with a more intimate acoustic musical comedy show. Yes his act will make you laugh, cry and sing for more more more.
Tony will be leaving his beloved NJ soon, though, for the purple mountains’ majesty of Colorado. If you’re a fan you ought to come to see him off. If you’re new to his act, come check it out while you have the chance. Lots o’ laughs, lots o’ music, lots o’ apostrophes!
Guest performers confirmed so far include Metuchen’s noted musician and author Danny Adlerman and North Brunswick’s original rocker John Wilkey.

Hailey’s Second Beer Dinner on September 10th
HAILEY’S SECOND BEER DINNER – Sept 10th
Beer dinners are one of the few events that anyone of legal drinking age can enjoy. Knowing that most of our patrons appreciate the “art” of drinking and based on the success of our first beer dinner in January, we decided to do it again! Yes, drinking beer is a key component to a beer dinner, but they also include other important things that people can enjoy — great food, good times and …entertaining conversation (that may or may not be about beer).
This time, we decided to do the beer dinner on a Friday night, so there’s no need to worry about looking at your watch and wondering how many hours you have left until the alarm goes off and you have to go back to work. Relax and enjoy the magical pairing of amazing beers with great food specially crafted by Chef Johnny O’
The beer dinner starts at 7:00 p.m. and spreads across five to six courses, including dessert, with each dish accompanied by a different brew. The menu will be posted shortly. The price will be around $45-$50, seating will be limited and reservations are required. For more information, call Hailey’s at 732-321-0777.
St. Practice Day is September 17th
Summer has come and gone, and the next major holiday on the calendar gets a jump-start on 9/17 when the luck of the Irish comes early — in the form of St. Practice Day.
Starting at 5 pm on that Friday (yes, St. Practice Day is on a Friday), Hailey’s and Guinness will partner together to celebrate 6 months to St. Patrick…’s Day. We will dedicate ourselves to proudly honoring the delicious dark beer that tastes especially so when coupled with a little (or a lot of) Jameson and Bailey’s. St. Practice Day will also include mouthwatering food specials, festive pipes and drums, lively Irish dancers and traditional Irish music. (and what about the owner in a kilt, be still our hearts) And the best part? There’s more in it for you than just good karma. Everyone who participates will receive free Guinness gear, but there’s nothing stopping you from coming dressed in your best Irish regalia. And don’t forget to bring your blarney.
Guinness beer, Chef Johnny O’s food specials plus a warm and fuzzy feeling — now that’s what St. Practice Day is all about.
Fall Shuffleboard League
HAILEYS FALL SHUFFLEBOARD LEAGUE
For those of you that have been worried what you were going to do on you Monday and Wednesday fall nights, worry no longer: SHUFFLEBOARD IS BACK AT HAILEYS!!!!!!
Due to the success of our first league, which we ran this spring, we decided to bring the skill and finesse ( minus the random drug testing requirement) of shuffleboard back to the masses!!!!! Last season we only played on one night, Wednesday night from 8-11 with drink and food specials, but due to the demand and popularity, we’re coming back stronger with an additional night, MONDAY!!!!!!!! Shuffleboard, Monday night football, plus drink and food specials is PRICELESS.
Signs up begin NOW and run thru until SEPTEMBER 1st. Ask your server or bartender, or if the Commish Jonny A is around, you can pepper him with your questions. There will be two meetings to go over the all of the details on August 9 and August 16 at 7;00 pm in the back room.
When you sign up, please have your playing partners name and contact information, plus your team name as results will be posted weekly on Hailey’s Website. Again, please ask any of the pub staff if you have any questions before hand.

Tone Deaf Tuesday 8pm at Hailey’s. Reality TV such as American Idol have opened up the door for those who sing Karaoke as a way to be rewarded for their amateur singing talents or your friends can laugh at you. , Karaoke has gained popularity as the popularity of cover songs has increased. Karaoke is an easy way for any… individual to cover a specific song. So come on down, and belt out the songs to beat the heat.
