From Monkees classics including “Listen to the Band” and “Papa Gene’s Blues,” to perennial Stone Poneys favorite “Different Drum,” to solo hits like “Joanne” and “Rio,” Nesmith’s oeuvre proves him to be one of the greatest and most underrated songwriters of the twentieth century.
